Join us from July 31 - August 7, for a week of adventure, exploration, and relaxation as we explore St. Martin St. Barts, Anguilla and The Leeward Islands onboard a luxurious yacht operated by certified sail boat Captains and crew Never sailed before? It's fun easy and very safe. In fact we never lose site of land and have many returning odyssey-ers that can not swim! Please read our FAQ page for more information. It’s time again to prepare for another sailing Bareboat Chartering Adventure. “Bareboat chartering" is a participatory means of travel/vacation. It is not a cruise. There are no waiters, maids, cooks, etc. We all sail the boat, we all cook, we all clean, we all party. . . together! If you've never done anything like this before, it's something like luxurious camping, only on water, and something like traveling in a developing country: think "simple, practical, and don't waste water".....above all, relax, have fun! Part of the overall experience is to be a part of the crew. In fact, many of us "Odyssey-ers", are more than "crew" we've established life long relationships by vacationing and exploring the world together. Saint Martin: 3 cultures 1 island
St. Martin is one of the most famous islands in the Caribbean. It lies in the heart of the Leeward Islands and presents myriad opportunities to enjoy upscale restaurants, beautiful beaches, and superlative snorkeling and scuba diving. A charming fact: The island of Sint Maarten-Saint Martin is the smallest land mass in the world to be shared by two different nations. Only 37 square miles are owned by France and the Netherlands Antilles. Anguilla: Stunning beaches! Known for its beautiful beaches, numerous coves and bays, as well as its marine park, low-lying Anguilla is a laid-back Caribbean charm at its best. The mix of quiet anchorages and towns with a variety of restaurants and bars has long attracted sailors. The snorkeling on the reefs where colorful tropical fish abound is excellent in many locations, and scuba diving on the seven wrecks sunk deliberately on the reef to create a thriving habitat for sea life is some of the best in the Caribbean. Dives off Sandy Island and the Prickly Pear Cays are popular. The anchorage off Crocus Bay, on the north shore of Anguilla, is protected, quiet, and beautiful.
St. Barts (St. Barthemey) is a relatively small island popular for the French allure of Gustavia, the main harbor and settlement. A wide mix of chic boutiques, art galleries, and upscale restaurants line the streets of this scenic town tucked against the shore at the base of lush green hills. A short hike up to the lighthouse at Fort Gustav affords unparalleled panoramic views of the surrounding islands. The quiet, picturesque anchorage at Anse de Colombier is a secluded bay off the beaten track, promising a restful night in a beautiful setting. The white-sand beach curves along the shore, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The bay is part of the St. Barts Marine Reserve, well known for its superlative snorkeling and scuba diving.
